Context
The legacy infrastructure of the French High Audit Authority (H2A), mostly based on Microsoft environments, lacked agility and scalability. H2A wanted to modernise its IS by standardising environments, automating deployments and enabling continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
Delivery
- Full internal network audit (topology, VLANs, IP plan, equipment) and assessment of monitoring and logs
- Infrastructure redesign and set-up of Infrastructure-as-Code standards: Git repository structure, naming conventions, reusable modules
- Writing IaC scripts and integrating them with CI/CD pipelines following DevSecOps best practices
- Application and network load testing on critical environments
- Deployment of an internal Kubernetes foundation
The benefits for H2A
- Standardisation and homogeneity of environments — a first step towards a more performant, resilient and sovereign infrastructure
- Full automation of environment provisioning
- Cost optimisation: better visibility over resources and on-demand scalability
- Full visibility over the state of the network, flows and security
